Grubhub's product team is looking for a technical customer-focused Principal Product Manager, to help us make the best products dedicated to enabling our B2B clients to feed and motivate their teams. The ideal candidate will be data focused product leader who has experience taking a product from zero to one, has experience-centric mindset and can drive growth through both incremental improvements as well as strategic big bets. You will collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels across the organization including Senior Leadership and critical business stakeholders, and be responsible for the evolution and optimization of Grubhub's B2B experience. In addition, the ability to work backwards and think from a customer perspective is crucial. You will report directly to the Sr Director of Product.
The Impact You Will Drive:
  • Craft and define the vision of our B2B platform with product leads and the engineering team
  • Help lead and set the B2B direction for Grubhub including but not limited to: defining new opportunities, working with executive leadership, our engineering team as well as other teams to promote specific goals.
  • Lead projects through the definitional stages, working to ensure that we're working to solve the right problem and have clearly articulated problem statements and goals identified. Own accountability for the ultimate execution of the project, working cross-functionally to ensure that the solution that is built achieves the defined problem and goals.
  • Go to Market Strategy: we're looking for someone to build a new track and think outside the box. We need someone who knows how to calculate risks and has a strong strategy background.
  • Stakeholder Management: Previous experience working with VP-level stakeholders. Ability to read the room (VP meeting vs. Director/SPM meeting).
  • Seek out opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business relationships
  • Collaborate cross functionally executing strategy across teams to drive growth
  • Partner with the Marketing Leads to ensure Marketing's long-term vision and strategy is aligned with Grubhub's long-term company strategy and goals
What You Bring to the Table:
  • 10 years of relevant work experience in software development in technical leadership, product management, program management, or similar roles within an Agile environment
  • Ability to collaborate with C-level executives across broad organizations including technology, marketing, sales, operations, and finance
  • Direct experience with large-scale e-commerce platforms, A/B testing, web and native mobile application environments, and data analytics
  • Demonstrated experience working across the technology teams from UX, through to data science and backend teams
  • Work independently to define complex problems, prioritize effectively and deliver quickly
  • 'Work out loud' to arrive at solutions collaboratively and iteratively
  • Think and communicate clearly, in a way that builds trust across functions and hierarchies
  • Superior communication skills, including the ability to crystallize and broadly socialize insights into partners needs that the partners themselves may not be able to articulate
  • Able to influence outcomes and people without reporting lines
  • Experience with SQL using queries, reports and dashboards coupled with strong analytical and quantitative skills using data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, drive action, and monitor product health
  • Manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with team members, while managing overarching priorities
  • Strong technical understanding for area of product development and demonstrates an advanced understanding at the architecture level
  • An innate understanding of technology and how to use it to deliver outstanding and innovative products is a must
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain financial plans

New York Salary Range: $203,000 - $230,000
The Base Pay component of our Total Rewards package is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to: job responsibilities, location, experience and, education/certifications. In addition to the pay component, this role may be eligible for equity and benefits as part of the Total Rewards package. The Total Rewards package will be determined at the time a contingent offer is made.
